Traditional Service of Remembrance
A traditional Service typically includes the following:
Professional Service
Consultation and professional services about arrangements; embalming, cosmetology, dressing and casketing of remains; arrangements with clergy, church, cemetery or crematorium; details regarding newspaper notices, procurement and registration of necessary vital statistics, attendants at funeral home, conducting funeral and other staff services; our chapel organist.
Facilities
Use of funeral home facilities, including visitation room for Family and friends, parking areas; equipment and supplies for conducting of funeral; use of operating room.
Automobiles
Local removal from home or hospital, registering of vital statistics, Clergy/Director’s car, funeral coach from funeral home to cemetery or crematorium; utility vehicle.
Alternative Services of Remembrance
Each of the alternative services described below provide respectful and dignified care of the deceased and the Family. These different services address individual cultures and preferences. Our dedicated staff will be pleased to create a remembrance service designed to suit your specific needs.
Cremation and Minimum Care Service
Consultation and professional services; arrangements with hospital and cemetery or crematorium; legal registration of death and all necessary documentation; necessary use of funeral home facilities; sanitary care of remains; assistance with newspaper notices; local transfer from hospital or home and transportation to local cemetery or crematorium.
Burial Graveside Funeral Service
All minimum care services plus attendance of funeral director and staff at cemetery; car for Clergy, if required; provided at a time convenient to the Family.
View and One Day Visitation
All minimum care services plus complete embalming; use of funeral home for visitation and provision of all related supplies and services; provided at a time convenient to the Family.
Service in the Brown-Cummings Chapel or Your Church
All minimum care services plus complete embalming; use of chapel or transfer to church and provision of all related supplies and services; our chapel organist; funeral director and two staff attendants; car for Clergy, if required; attendance at the graveside; provided at a time convenient to the Family.
Visitation and Service in the Brown-Cummings Chapel or Your Church – Same Day
All minimum care services and complete embalming; use of chapel or transfer to church and provision of all related supplies services; our chapel organist; use of funeral home for visitation and provision of all related supplies and services; funeral director and two staff attendants; car for Clergy, if required; attendance at the graveside; all services to take place on same day at a time convenient to the Family.
Memorial Visitation and Service at Funeral Home – Same Day
All minimum care services and arrangements with clergy, florist and engravers; local transfer and temporary storage of cremated remains; placing of same in an urn; use of chapel or visitation room for memorial service; our chapel organist; staff during visitation; funeral director; attendance at graveside; all services to take place on same day at a time convenient to the Family.
Memorial Service held at a location other than the Funeral Home
All minimum care services and arrangements with clergy, florist and engravers; local transfer and temporary storage of cremated remains; placing of same in an urn; transportation of urn to place of service; provision of lectern, flower and urn stands, if required; delivery of all necessary equipment to place of service; attendance of funeral director at graveside; provided at a time convenient to the Family.
Graveside Inurnment of Cremated Remains
All minimum care services and attendance at graveside, coordination of cemetery, Family and Clergy, car for Clergy/Director; local transfer and temporary storage of cremated remains; placing of same in an urn; transportation of urn to place of service; provided at a time convenient to the Family.
